Dievole Winery on our last day. The end of another awesome week!

What a view!

A different perspective.

What an amazing day to paint outside...

with friends

A spot in the shade.

A private place to paint in the gardens.

Grapevines overhead smelled soooo good!

The view is spectacular
More grapes overhead.

My sketch in progress.

Ron takes great pics!

I’m going to miss these friends!!!
Kathy’s group, the Peaches, called us the Busy Bees because we painted so much!

The Art Show or Monstra with both groups. So many new skills learned and beautiful work created!!!

New friendships were made.

Confessions were heard!

Olive branches were worn.

I will miss these three guys! Especially Michaelino!

Arrivederci, San Fedele!

Pienza

Santa Maria Assunta Church in Pienza, Italy. A church built for Pope Pius in his home town.

The church is cracked and leaning but maybe not as much as I made it!

Lynn has a fan from China!

Drawing people in the square

We had the square to ourselves at times. So nice!

My people drawing.

Inside the church.

The crack! Pope Pius has this church built in his honor. The architect said the design was not good. It would not last 100 years. PP said to build it anyway. Centuries later here we are and the church is still standing but it is leaning a bit. Maybe it will only last a few more centuries!

On the road to Pienza.

Much different terrain than in Tuscany!

Beautiful light on the way home.

Pontignano Monastery

What a wonderful group of artists!!!

Ron is overlooking the gardens

We all found our inspiration throughout the gardens.

Can you find Gladys?

I was inspired by the fruit trees, flowers and herbs.

The well drawn and painted on a prepared page that was full of surprises and not always good ones! But I am always up for the challenge.

Our work in progress.

Cortona

We drew in the plaza.

The gelato bike was our beginning focus but we went many directions.

Gloria is a shy sketcher!

We walked up to St Margaret’s Basilica. Beautiful!

Then we continued up to the fort.

What a view!  I always carry my pen to the top!

Francoise gave a praying mantis a lift.

Walking down from the top while viewing the mosaic stations of the cross.

Back home for show and tell

Here’s what we sketched today.

We like to paint into the night! Andrea is singing and playing the guitar. Heavenly!
