Framing is not as easy as it seems!!!

We are just about ready to hang our show: Laroquettes: Class of 2014. Our paintings are framed. As usual, we had fun while doing it! Here we are busy at work and celebrating Lynns birthday even without her here!!!

Eat Draw Laugh

Another wonderful time with friends! We drew the "bodies on the table", as Linda called them, using gestural lines. 30 seconds is all you need to get the movement! Fast and fun. 

We also did a show and tell of our 'portable' art supplies, bags, mini palettes, etc. We are a group of clever, creative and talented people!!!

Laroquettes: Class of 2015 is preparing for our trip!

We had so much fun last year, we are going back for more!!!  I am very excited that so many of the Class of 2014 want to try it again and a few more new wonderful artists will join us! Like last year, we are practicing together and bonding before our trip. Here are just a few pics from our get togethers.

Tuesdays with Marni

A banner day! Terry, Dee, Mary and Marni's banner designs are coming along!

Chocolatada at Lynn and John's

The Laroquettes (minus Dee) met at Lynn and John's beautiful home to experience a Chocolatada. I believe it was the First Annual Chocolatada! Great food, amazing hot chocolate and of course any gathering of the Laroquettes guarantees a fun time! Her a just a few pics.

Tomorrow is Tuesdays with Marni and many of the Laroquettes will be here to work on their banners for the Manassas Banner project. Let's just hope the predicted snow does not change our plans! I hope to post the progress of our banners tomorrow. 

Night at the Roxbury Studio

The Laroquettes are working on paintings to submit as Banner designs for Manassas! We have a hummingbird, iris, heron, icecream sundae, boy in a fountain, a camel and maybe a hot air balloon ? Who knows what else will be created? It is just great to be together to paint and enjoy each other's company. We will definitely do this again!
