Laroquettes Painting in Laroque

 

We painted the town alizarin crimson, ultramarine blue, quinacridone gold and more! We met more local artists including Hugo, a 10 year old who showed us his portfolio. We invited more people to come to our exhibit on Friday  and we bought art from local artists! Another wonderful day!

Wonderful Day in Ceret

We experienced a bus ride to beautiful Ceret where so many famous artists painted! We visited the Modern Art Museum and sketched and ate lunch.

Final Planning Meeting for our trip! Woohoo!

MThank you, Linda for hosting us in your beautiful home! Our trip is only 18 days away. Plans are coming together with the help of Francoise!  All our practicing will pay off as we dive right in to sketch and paint Laroquette and other places. We are looking forward to seeing Eliane and the other artists we met last year!  

Here we are laughing, eating, bonding making music with our noses and sleeping(?). Look out Francoise! Here we come!!!!

Laroquettes: Class of 2014 Opening Reception was a huge hit!!!!

Thanks to all who came out to see what we all created. It was THE place to be on Friday evening. Family and friends filled the gallery until long after the reception was over. Sales were made. Fun was had.   "Old", "New" and future Laroquettes met and talked about the wonderful experience this has been. We are getting ready to do this again! I can't wait to see the friendships grow and the paintings happen.

Triple Crown with the Laroquettes

Framing is not as easy as it seems!!!

We are just about ready to hang our show: Laroquettes: Class of 2014. Our paintings are framed. As usual, we had fun while doing it! Here we are busy at work and celebrating Lynns birthday even without her here!!!

Eat Draw Laugh

Another wonderful time with friends! We drew the "bodies on the table", as Linda called them, using gestural lines. 30 seconds is all you need to get the movement! Fast and fun. 

We also did a show and tell of our 'portable' art supplies, bags, mini palettes, etc. We are a group of clever, creative and talented people!!!
